abstract	Guidon Manage is a diagnostic problem-solving tutor. It teaches the process of diagnosis through a cooperative session between the student and the expert (currently, the Neomycin expert system for medical diagnosis). This paper describes the project, its relationship to the Neomycin system and its pedagogical foundations. The reactions of medical students who have used the system as well as the lessons learned from the project are also discussed.
