Dame Wendy Hall is a Professor of Computer Science in the [http://users.ecs.soton.ac.uk/wh/ School of Electronics and Computer Science] at the University of Southampton, UK. She is President Elect of the [http://www.acm.org/ Association for Computing Machinery], Senior Vice President of the [http://www.raeng.org.uk/ Royal Academy of Engineering], and a past President of the [http://www.bcs.org/ British Computer Society] (2003-2004). She is a member of the Prime Minister’s [http://www.cst.gov.uk/ Council for Science and Technology], Chair of the Advisory Board of [https://www.garlik.com/index.php Garlik Limited], and a founding member of the Scientific Council of the [http://erc.europa.eu/ European Research Council].
