On Wednesday, Tim Berners-Lee , the inventor or the Web, and a panel of leading authorities on the World Wide Web gathered at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute to discuss the future of the Web in a public debate. Berners-Lee said he sees the Web's evolution as a semantic one, where data can be used in unexpected ways. Berners-Lee's speech was part of a daylong event to celebrate the launch of the Tetherless World Constellation at Rensselaer devoted to the emerging field of "Web science".
