 abstract = { The ``web of data is a well-known vision of the Semantic Web. Unfortunately, data on the Web evolves rapidly and ``broken links are frequently encountered. The inherent dynamic nature of the Semantic Web may cause difficulties in inference and data access. Persistency of semantic web data, therefore, is in great need. In this paper, we approach the persistency problem with Semantic Web Archive (SAW), a service that preserves the revisions of online semantic web data. SAW provides a persistent URI naming mechanism for users to access the preserved revisions of semantic web data such as ontologies. This feature thus enables socially federated archive infrastructure via its model of ``Metadata for the Semantic Web. Being the three-year old sibling of Swoogle, SAW has collected revisions of about 2 millions of semantic web documents. With the indexed data and the versioning capability, SAW can serve many important Semantic Web applications such as semantic web search engine, ontology reuse and evolution analysis and open ontology repository.}
