SDS:Jan21 Meeting
From Tetherless World Wiki
Agenda January 21, 2009
- Tuesday meeting (see January 20, 2009 Meeting notes)
- MLSO database query returning empty result ... need to resolve (case 56)
- DONE - Get dump of MLSO database ACOS (case 75)
- DONE - Get privileges set up for access from cedar-l (later butters) (case 74)
- Emails - These are emails that Fogbugz would check. Whenever an email is sent to one of those email addresses a case is created in Fogbugz, assigned to particular users. Fogbugz can be set up to read these email accounts (pop, username, password) (case 72)
- OPeNDAP Authentication - 2 weeks of work. Stephan is getting feed back from others in Globus regarding this. We will then present at the next OPeNDAP telecon. (case 73)
- last week recap
- subversion at UCAR
- As long as we have accounts, we need to have access to it
- We will be pulling content from the projects (vsto, spcdis, etc...). Just the current version, no history is needed.
- For CEDAR we will still need access until HAO identifies someone. Does Barbara have access?
- Patrick sent off an email to Gary Studwell regarding keeping subversion access. Gary responded saying he will keep access same.
- business cards
- escience and vcc
- Fairly unlimited sudo access. Includes ability to do soft reboot. Ability to do installs.
- Question for VCC about limited access accounts on production systems (i.e. globus user with access to only globus directory, for running GridFTP)
- Install in /opt. Do we want to re-install everything on escience in /opt? Or just keep it where it is now and when we do an upgrade, install in /opt.
- Will create new email address. tw-support-l@ goes to VCC (already exists). tw-applications-l@ will go to tw (needs to create)
- VCC has a ticketing system. They will open that up to us to keep track of tickets.
- VCC will do an NFS export for project directories. May not be on escience machine itself.
- Update stack page for escience. We will maintain these packages, not VCC. Also need a project dependency table for the packages, not just software dependency.
- We will need to setup ldap. Currently Li is doing that on the tw machine. Need to move it off of tw and onto the front machine for the cluster.
- projects
