    • Use Case 1
    • Demo Link
    • Data is at UCAR - http://iw.vsto.org/pml/ redirects to butters, not dataportal
    • There are some broken links (EXAMPLE PLEASE)
    • Need to rebuild the EQL (Extended Quick Look) to pull out of the raw string information that is searchable, such as the date and time. Reference the eql.owl file and a correct representation would be here
    • The use case (1) does not impose any requirements on relations between the elements in the PML schema. We don't have any relation between the creation date and the URL of a conclussion.
    • There may be other things in the FITS file that we want to promote to the PML. Perhaps in the use case 7 we can talk about this, the workflow use case.
    • Use Case 1, the last selection pull down for "by" needs to have additional information or constraint. Perhaps adding ontology hierarchy to beginning of name, or categorize the search.
    • There is no ontology usage yet
    • Everyone needs to look at Use Case 1 wiki page and make sure it is all correct.
  • Review current status of use case 7
    • Model-Based Workflow - this is a single script that does this in batch.
    • take it from one inference engine to multiple
    • getting into the granularity of the workflow ... calibrations, etc...
    • Scoping use case 7 ... what Stephan said (need this) is a sliding set of requirements. Need to come up with a feature/requirement freeze and expose this level of workflow. NO FEATURE CREEP.
    • WFXML (Work-Flow Markup Language) What is the artifact that represents the workflow? Stephan says it is represented in OWL. NASA is using it, gaining momentum.
    • Stephan and Peter will update the use case 7 page.
  • Review current demos
    • continue to improve use case 1 demo
    • develop use case 7 (CHIP Quick Look Workflow) - demo at semtec June 14th at Spring AGU (mid to late may)
  • Briefing on current developments: PML, WDOIt, Browse/ ProbeIt and Search
    • iw.vsto.org/pml/
    • ProbeIt
      • Question of reliability, stability. Is there a production and a development version?
      • Functions differently in the browser versus standalone
      • Java version 1.6, needs to work 1.5 and 1.6
    • PML preservation (Stephan)
      • preservation of the PML and the artifact.
      • currently the artifacts are purged, the workflow is re-run, which could produce a different artifact. There is no information about the scripts/code being run. Software provenance. The reason is that they (archivers/coders/whatever) do not see any value in it. Once we show that there is value in this kind of information then they will.
      • If the artifact/conclusion is regenerated, do we have the same link or a different one. Could be the same one and do something like svn, can get to history with comments on changes.
      • Flat directory structure will eventually not work, run out of inodes.
      • One possible solution is to have expiration dates
      • A smaller group will be created to work on this issue. Add to project page under tasks for this issue. (Peter has updated this page)
    • What is being displayed (Cynthia)
  • Review current code base and locations of installs, etc.
    • Current deployment
      • onto?
      • iw.vsto.org?
      • utep?
      • source code control?
      • ownership?
    • Planned deployment
      • inferenceweb.rpi.edu (escience clone)
    • Discuss tomcat install with Cynthia
      • on escience into /opt, 6.x (apache connector so can run tomcat on port 80 with apache)
  • Discuss required developments: PML, browse/ ProbeIt and Search
  • Target next use case (4)
  • Next demo timeline and schedule, milestones, tasks
    • May 24 deadline for use case 7
    • add Cynthia and Li to FogBugz?
