VSTO 3.0 release schedule

• VSTO 3.0 beta 1, released on leo vserver, March 30th, 2012
• VSTO 3.0, released on escience production server, April 27th, 2012

The VSTO 3.0 release will include:

• the basic guided search that scientists are used to
• S2S integration to allow users to have faceted/hierarchical search
• Page generation using the triple store, TW web site modules
• Web services for access to the data
• New OPeNDAP integration with CEDAR, MLSO, COMP, and CSAC data using OPeNDAP Web Services (not Apache or OLFS)
• Provenance traces and visualization for MLSO and COMP
• Discovery services for CEDAR, MLSO, COMP, and CSAC data
• VSTO 2.0 ontology reviewed, modifications made to VSTO 3.0
• Integration with STOM, SeSF, TW, FOAF and O&M ontologies
• Ontology documentation and attribution

Features added to 3.0 throughout the remainder of the year

• New Semantically enabled metrics
• Provenance traces and visualization for CSAC and CEDAR
• Access to Madrigal data, and Madrigal sites
