HCLS has been in place for some time now and was recently rechartered. Institutions such as the Cleveland Clinic, Intermountain Health Care, the Mayo Clinic have worked on the semantics of medicine and healthcare for decades and there seems to be a certain amount of skepticism that W3C can make a significant contribution in this field. What have been the successes so far? Is there evidence that the group is gaining traction? What do you expect the near future to be for the organization? How can HCSL garner broader support?
