Like in the late 1990s, there is a growing consolidation of technology/Internet companies. Is this a good or bad trend for a people-centered Web? Will it enhance our experience and create a "seamless" Internet or will it centralize the largest companies who have access to our personal information? If it is not an either/or question, then what is the best model of the business end of the Internet that holds the most promise of creativity and freedom for the average user, whether they are in South Beach or South Korea or South Africa?
