It should be the conflict between Joseki and TDB. I used TDB 0.8.2 and Joseki 3.4.2, so these two may contain different version of jetty. After I downgraded to Joseki 3.4.0(i.e. using the same versions as tutorial uses), the new config files work well as described in the tutorial.

I added my feedback to the wiki page of the tutorial, and maybe your or Tim can help to improve it, such as some big changes in newer versions of TDB and Joseki. I don't know how different TDB 0.8.7 is from TDB 0.8.2, but the newer version seems don't support tdbverify, which is part of the tutorial. -Xian
