Is this in fact the case? In what circumstances would discovering mappings between a given RDB schema and a given ontology be worthwhile? In such a scenario, are there advantages to the presented technique, versus translating the RDB schema to an ontology (e.g. using a tool like D2R) and then using existing ontology-to-ontology mapping techniques?
