The modeling of g:definedBy statements use … The modeling of g:definedBy statements used to define RDF views seems strange and limiting given the stated goals of the paper. Is there a reason to include "FROM" and "FROM NAMED" clauses in the query string rather than as triples in attached to a view resource? By including them in the query string, reusability (a stated goal) seems to be made harder as query strings need to be edited. Also, the use of QNames and relative IRIs in the query strings yield a system that I don't believe is actually backward compatible as stated -- by the time the query string is available as the object of a g:definedBy triple, the lexically defined namespaces from the defining RDF document will be lost, and the query will be impossible to execute. Is query expansion performed and simply not discussed in the paper? med and simply not discussed in the paper?
