• Jie and Li agreed to use SMW Best Practices (SBP) for our release name. TW and RPI affiliation will mentioned on release homepage
  • Please check SMW Best Practices (Project) for our progress, including recommended templates and pages.

• learning wiki template encountered and solved a problem on template parameter passing.
  • we cannot use parser function as the value of named parameters (e.g. author=Li Ding) , but it is ok for unnamed parameters
  • A URL which has '=' (.e.g. http://foo.com/bar?name=joe ) may not be passed properly to a template because wiki will confuse it with a named parameter. A quick work around would be {{{|http://foo.com/bar?name=joe}}} when calling template. see also Help:sbp.fit.tag.

• we confirmed the principle of best meeting wikipedia
  • try to follow page naming convention by wikipedia, e.g. use 'Troy, New York' instead of 'Troy, NY'
  • try to see how to meet with the templates existing on wikipedia. Please note that some wikipedia templates, e.g,[1] already support microformat. we should consider low-effort approach to meet the semantic wiki templates with media wiki templates.
